WELCOME TO THE 2027 TRI MASCOMA

I lived on Mascoma Lake for many years and have joyfully swum, biked and run in and around it many, many times. So I was delighted when a local family, the Alberts, created and directed the ”Mascoma Man” triathlon from 2011 to 2014. When the Alberts moved away and the race discontinued, a seed was planted in the back of my mind to someday bring the race back to life.

My career, family, and a gig coaching the Dartmouth Triathlon Club put that dream on hold. Through the intervening years the number of “local” races declined precipitously: Mascoma Man, Eastman, Sunapee, Lake Fairlee, Newfound Lake, King Pine, etc., all gone.

So, with this glaring need for a local venue, the encouragement of my team members and the invaluable assistance from Bill Burnett (Streamline Events), that seed has blossomed into Tri Mascoma 2027.

I hope you all will take advantage of this wonderful spot for a triathlon by participating or volunteering. Let’s help it grow and flourish!
